A disturbing event unfolded in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, where a man was filmed tying up his wife's hands and violently assaulting her with a belt and kicks. The footage of this incident quickly spread across social media platforms.
The perpetrator, identified as Guruntham, was seen in the video mercilessly beating his wife, who was visibly in distress, jumping and crying out in pain.
Despite the presence of neighbors, Guruntham prevented anyone from intervening, with witnesses claiming that he derived 'sadistic pleasure' from the act.
The couple has four children, including three daughters and a son. The victim was employed at a bakery to help support her family.
Tragic Murder of NEET Aspirant in Gorakhpur
In a separate tragic incident, a 19-year-old NEET aspirant named Deepak Gupta was brutally murdered by cattle smugglers in Mauachapi village, located under the jurisdiction of Pipraich Police Station in Gorakhpur on Monday night. This heinous act led to violent protests, including stone pelting and road blockades, as reported by local authorities.
The violence resulted in injuries to SP North Jitendra Srivastava and the in-charge of Pipraich Police Station, Puroshattam Anand Singh.
According to Gorakhpur SSP Raj Karan Nayyar, the confrontation occurred around 12:30 am when smugglers arrived with three vehicles. Villagers, including Deepak, attempted to stop them as they were untying cattle.
Deepak was abducted by the smugglers, who drove him around for an hour before inflicting fatal injuries to his head and abandoning his body approximately 4 kilometers away.
Nayyar stated, 'We received information around 3:00 am regarding the smugglers' presence in the village with two pickup vans. When villagers pursued them, one vehicle became stuck, and the smugglers fled. Deepak was taken in the other vehicle and later thrown out, resulting in his fatal head injury.' A case has been filed based on the family's complaint, and a post-mortem examination is underway.
